Whelp Time for me to start this... And I think I might be in the wrong direction. So far this is just the skeleton of the host screen and right now I'm not liking it too much. Instead of using the Host Screen, I might end up doing something like using the US Clock format Host Screen for both formats. === EDIT: Okay, so I'm coming back to the Shuffle Host Screen at some point. Clock Format REALLY worked better. (Currently a PNG image but will likely be the final product.) Design differences. Phone-A-Friend clock appears under game time clock. If (clocked) Ask The Experts is instead used, the PAF icon becomes a ATE icon when invoking that lifeline. Otherwise it's hidden. The "random" ATA lifeline icon appears when results are being displayed. It changes to a Twitch icon, Hitbox Icon, or YouTube icon if those are being used instead while those particular results are on the screen. Explanation to the question/answer replaces the text of the question but with a black text on white background. The available lifelines will be shown where the 10 "Plus One" icons are currently. (I was lazy and didn't want to import them on the Fireworks stage.) The Diamond is the indicator before Round 2 or the next available threshold. Away counts how many before the final. The blank space beneath the "status" will likely be used for Producer messages or the select-a-friend for Phone-A-Friend. Also note: I have to make a change to the planned limit for the question values. I have to reduce the limit to 250,000,000. This is because I'm not sure how "advanced" people's machines are and if people are using 32-bit or 64-bit systems. 32 bit systems limit unsigned integer variable to about 4 Billion (4,000,000,000). On 64-bit systems the limit becomes ... Ignore this... I went ahead and quickly test the program on Windows 8.1 but 32-bit, ran a shuffle 16 questions at 4 Billion each and it worked.

It's taking me a while, but I'm finally starting to dive in to Unity: Color Corrected, cause the grey was REALLY bothering me: I might just make it as a highlight effect instead. Took a break on the mechanical part of the controller to work on the visual side.... Welcome to the main menu And I know a LOT of people are looking at this going "Wait, but what about Project 2"... I just realized I can combine them into one program. I'll try to figure out a way to split it. Or if Project 2 will even be necessary.

Great question. The main reason I said Unity over Flash is because I know more of the C# language than I do with ActionScript. Also I feel that I can do the animations of the modern board a bit easier with Unity 3D's Animator system than with Flash's ActionScript/timeline. At least at first glance. (I wouldn't even know HOW to get started with Adobe CC to do the same.) Additionally, I'm not entirely sure if Flash will still be supported much longer, nor am I sure how to work Adobe Flash CC with dynamic texts and the like. (Hurts more since my Adobe Flash CS6 is completely inoperable for some weird reason and Unity is free). The only downside is that I have to pay for some basics that would otherwise be free in Flash. Because I REALLY don't have that much luck drawing shapes. (One of these include primitive shapes for example. Had to learn this first hand and this might be the straw that break the camel's back in regards to engine. This is because I might have to hammer out some nagging problems with compiling like I am now.) Fortunately I'm not too far in with the project to go back and start with Flash, Cocos or even UnrealEngine if I choose to. (So far I'm only done with the Main Menu and I started to work on the Clock Format US Host screen and that is where I've almost decided to delete everything and start again.) I'll be doing more Twitch streaming with my coding progress and layout of the project... But for right now, assume that Unity will be the program. (On a side note, if all holds well... this also means I can make a Mac version or Linux version of the same.) Only time will tell... and I've been at this for about a year (give or take any large breaks).

This is looking really great so far! I did notice the "Playlist Name" box on the sound configurator, possibly allowing an option to switch between different sound configurations depending on the format you wish to play.
How would one use the sound configurator to create and switch between multiple sound sets for different formats?

This is looking terrific. I'm looking forward to trying it out once it's fully completed. You should be very proud of yourself.

How would one use the sound configurator to create and switch between multiple sound sets for different formats? Right now it would just be you reloading the separate list each time you want to change. I can certainly look into a dropbox box of sorts and a pop up window to let you easily switch between different lists.

I'm not into name dropping or shaming, but i know who has been bothering Retched, it's not a big issue KP so don't worry. I've been with Retched here, helping him with his project. And also learning about coding too, it's been quite the fun time so far. Just look forward to a great result when it's done. :3

I haven;t bee following this thread much lately but I do know from pm's that you are looking for info on how to distribute you program. If you want to go down the path of a full on MSI based installer, I suggest looking uo and learning the Windows Installer XML Toolkit or Wix for short. It is what I use and depending on some tests I have asked members on here to do for my project, you will be able to package up optional components in a way that the end user doesn't even have to download the optional components they don't want.

I'm quite familiar, at least in name only, of WIX. It was one of the things I was considering for the installer. More than likely I will end up with at least two different installers (one for graphics and one for graphics + music). Or if there is some way I can make one big file but make it so that only certain codes will unlock the full program while others will only allow for graphics only, that would definitely ease the pain as it were.
