On the topic of fonts, I've been looking for a while, on the classic UK version of Millionaire, what font is used for the A:, B:, C:, and D: on the question "cards"? Is it Conduit? Conduit? No, that would be Copperplate Gothic. But not one of the wider variants, search for I'd like to call the "squared" variants. Search them on fonts.com or similar websites. What are you talking about question cards ? Do u have an example picture ? Question cards? I think he meant answer "lozenges", you know the black boxes where you insert four answers? I think it's that.

Little bump for this thread. I think it could be helpful and/or interesting for those who didn't saw this pic before : At this state of play if u look at the green and cyan box, they're empty. The orange one is showing "£1,000,000" as the amount reached. The red one is still showing the second milestone "£32,000" and for the blue one I can't see if it's showing "Away : 0" (or 1) or simply "Away " This pic is from Pat Gibson's run. --------------------------------------------------------- On this one you can see the explanations box in action. And an other small detail, when contestants are celebrities, the "Contestant Name, State/Region" is remplaced by their names.

Once again, there is a difference between the graphics seen on the TV and the graphics on the software... I suppose that the UK version had to follow this example for A, B, C, D letters : 1 - TV : Copperplate 30 BC / Software : Copperplate 30 BC 2 - TV : Copperplate 30 BC / Software : Arial 3 - TV : Verdana / Software : Arial

Ah, so it's Arial? Wow, I had no idea. Thanks a lot for telling me!

One thing I have to ask about the host screen is it's native resolution.
When I drew up the graphics on my host screen, it was 1366x768. I was trying to make it fit the 16:9 aspect ratio that my laptop had. Now I wish I didn't because I would have to rearrange everything for 4:3
Sure widescreen monitors are now the standard today, but if I ever want to make an authentic looking host screen, I should make everything as close as possible, which means retaining it's 4:3 ratio.
Was the resolution the standard 1024x768? It's the minimum resolution that my laptop can display.

Okay, Here is my take on the resolution issue. I mind you, I made my own little tweaks to the original layout. 16 x 9 version:5 x 4 version:4 x 3 version:
When a contestant give their final answer, the gray indicator box turns red and the correct answer is fed to the host via ear piece. What I have done is having a small green correct answer box in one of the corners of the red incorrect box. Example: Answer D is contestant's final answer. Once locked in, the indicator box turn from gray to red / green. If correct, the indicator box would turn green. If Incorrect, the indicator box will turn red with a small green box within it. The correct answer is C...how would the host know that? The small green box will be located in the corner. So in this case, the small green box would be in the bottom left corner of the red indicator box. If the correct answer was B, then the small green box would be in the upper right corner.

Can anyone suggest colour codes for the indicator rectangles for question values?
