I was playing the US 2nd Edition of the game (which I got in the Platinum Edition from Christmas), and I started up the game as normal, and the intro played, but when we got to the portrait of Regis, instead of appearing from the side of the screen, he swivelled round to the camera and was like "Who wants to be a millionaire!" but then finished as normal! It was really weird! I don't think I've seen that before! Did anyone else notice this? It only happened to be the once, but I'll try and video it (if I can find the right program..), to prove what I'm on about...

Oh, yeah; that's just one of Regis' many random different things he does to start the game. He tries to make it funny, but it doesn't always come out that way! ;D

You mean you had a different intro video than normal? I've never seen that before, and I've played the game a ton!

Wait! I don't believe it but it's happened to me again! In fact, it took me by surprise so that I couldn't press anything on my keyboard, so I was taken back to Windows. I think I'll video it the third time it happens - does anyone know of any good software for that?
EDIT: Okay, it's happened again, but I've recorded it, except the video's of bad quality... I'll see if I can't upload it somewhere..

Perhaps it's an Easter Egg specifically included in the Platinum Edition version of the game.

I've never seen it before in any of the games I've played. That said, I've never played the Platinum version.

I have several versions of the game, including the Platinum Edition, and I've never seen that. It must be programmed to come up once in a blue moon as an Easter egg, and I've just never happened to experience it.

I had just the regular second edition, and I've seen that intro twice, I think. Probably an easter egg.
