This actually gives me some hope about the shows future. I really like the new look of the intro.

Very nice that someone's reviving Weakest Link. It looks like it's very reminiscent of the original show (set & music-wise), but putting it's own little spin on the graphics. I hope that someone will post an episode of it when it premieres, because I'm curious about this.

I always like the weakest link, cause here in the UK, we had Anne Robinson as a host.

We had her in the US, too. For the NBC Run, at least.
Also thank god the CGI in the intro was updated. Looks really nice.

Within the first 4 seconds of opening there was too much happiness in the studio... This won't do.

Within the first 4 seconds of opening there was too much happiness in the studio... This won't do. I get where you're coming from, and in most cases, of a game of this nature, I'd agree, but Julien Courbet, the host, said what basically translates to, "Good evening; welcome to the debut of the Weakest Link." I think the audience has a right to get excited about that, being at a debut, and are excited about the revival. A positive sign was that as soon this sentence was finished, they simmered down immediately, wherein Courbet basically gave the rules spiel about having to working together as a team, max possible prize, voting to determine who they think is the Weakest Link. The wording, when translated, sounded quite similar to how Anne Robinson did it. Yep, one of a handful of Francophones here, though I believe I'm the only one not from the France, as I'm stateside. As a small aside, for those not familiar with Courbet's work, he's got good experience, both in television, and as a game show host, in such shows like Le 4e duel (4th Duel), based off of the US/UK show of the same name, in addition to En Toutes Lettres (In Full), known for its once 73-time champion; Pascal, and also known to Italian fans under the title Passaparola, as an adaptation of the same program. Last but not least, Courbet's most recent work prior to this, Seriez-vous un bon expert ? (Would You be a Good Expert?). These are all trivia game shows; excellent hire for France, I wish I only got D8 (or what was called Direct 8, until a few years ago). Fun fact: At €45,000, this is now currently the best paying Weakest Link in the world, with Mexico's only paying 200,000 pesos, and Azerbaijan only paying 9000 Manat. If you're curious, these payouts in US dollars, are as follows: $60,867.23, $15,481.14, and $11,475.21, respectively. /Do you know why it was called Duel in the States? Because the two people who saw it shot themselves. (Credit to Mike Klauss on that zinger.)

This is great news, I have loved the French Version. In my opinion, Laurence Boccolini did an amazing job on hosting the first series. Too bad, she doesn'treturn for the second version of Le Maillon Faible. However, I think Julien Courbet will be great as well.
The new graphics are terrific and I also like the new set. On the other hand, I'm so glad they still use the good old music by Paul Farrer.
But what's about the channel? I know TF1 but have never heard of D8.

D8 is a private French channel, which was purchased by Canal + and Bolloré Média in 2012. Available in 576i (PAL) by DVB and 1080i on cable and optic fiber ISP. It's a "Télévision Numérique Terrestre => TNT" channel which means "Digital Video Broadcasting Terrestrial => DVB-T". It's equal to ATSC in U.S. Except that D8 was "created" in 2012 (It was purchased), the Canal + Group have a very big wallet ^^ The group was founded in 1984 and Canal+ (The channel) was the first toll TV channel in France. The group also produce movies, series etc... So they have money to buy licences and produce great shows

It's provided in January, after the series of The Weakest Link. It will be the same host, at the same hour (about 5 pm in France) and on the same channel.
