(I.e £100,000, £200,000, £300,000...£500,000) I'm thinking something more like... 15: £10,000,000 14: £5,000,000 13: £2,500,000 12: £1,000,000 11: £500,000 10: £250,00009: £150,000 08: £100,000 07: £75,000 06: £50,000 05: £25,000 04: £10,000 03: £5,000 02: £2,500 01: £1,000

I agree. This works.

I still think $250,000 is an awful lot for a milestone. If this is the money tree, you'd have to make the first ten questions even more difficult than they were, leading to less people getting to the Next Dimension.

$250,000 on it's own is a lot for a milestone, but do bear in mind that in 5 questions that amount increases to 40x the value.

It's a matter of the show's budget. On the actual show, Q10 was $100,000, and you saw how difficult it was to get there. Nobody got there without spending all their lifelines. If you turn that $100,000 into $250,000, you have to make the task more difficult to stay under budget. Even less people are going to reach the part of the game that people are actually tuning in to see.
The fact is a better change would be to LOWER the Q10 milestone so that you can make the first ten questions a little easier, and let more people reach the third tier.
$500 $1000 $2000 $3000 $5000
$7500 $10,000 $15,000 $25,000 $50,000
$100,000 $500,000 $1,000,000 $5,000,000 $10,000,000
The bigger jumps make for some interesting dilemmas too. Would you risk $50,000 to win $400,000 more? Would you risk $950,000 to win $4,000,000 more?

It's a matter of the show's budget. Super Millionaire is ABC. Money is not a problem for ABC. It's also a matter of just increasing the money values for today's economy. $100,000 now will not get you the same things $100,000 in 2004 would get you.

It's a matter of the show's budget. Super Millionaire is ABC. Money is not a problem for ABC. Try telling that to ABC when you're selling them the show. Money is ALWAYS a factor.

Ask Google? That seems like a really dodgy lifeline.
Meredith said in the episode where Phone-A-Friend was removed that "they ask Mr. Internet. And really, it's testing what's inside people's heads." I think from that we can gather there will not and never be an internet-based lifeline.
The money tree does seem to have extra zero's and also the UK height is an odd one because it seems to have much harder questions as a cost of removing 3 questions. kplewisvox's money tree is the one I most agree with as it seems a lot more logical and realistic.

If they did the shuffle format on Super Millionaire, here's what it will look like:
Round 2: 14) $10,000,000 13) $5,000,000 12) $2,500,000 11) $1,000,000
Round 1: 10) $250,000 9) $100,000 8) $50,000 7) $25,000 6) $10,000 5) $7,500 4) $5,000 3) $2,500 2) $1,000 1) $500
Anyone who misses a question in round 2 will leave with $100,000.

That doesn't make sense. The top value in round 1 of the shuffle format is $25,000 and if you miss a question in round two, that's what you leave with. Why would the top prize be $250,000 but you only leave with $100,000 if you miss one? That just doesn't work.
