Hello all members of the forum!
I am a Vietnamese. I'm a very old member of this forum and I've been inactive since June 2011 (although my last post was on November 18th, 2011).
Here is the link to my first post → regisfan.proboards.com/thread/887/first-hello-vietnam
(But please view it only, don't reply to it!)
I'm still having an interest in WWTBAM. At least in my country, WWTBAM has been reverted to the original version, which is one of my favorites. (The other one is the Time-clock version.) It is still on the Tuesday evening (Hanoi's time), and the questions there is getting harder; competitors can't get their hands to the 13th question!
I've been changed so much since summer 2011. I went through a very tough schoolyear, and now I'm a first year student in School of International Education - Hanoi University of Science and Technology. I'm studying IT in a collaboration program with La Trobe University. I'm studying hard to be a programmer. (Although working as a project manager is appealing to me!)
I've been liking a musical technology named Vocaloid from Yamaha. I read an article on Yahoo News about it in July 2011, listened to the song featured in it, and started liking it. I joined a Vietnamese forum where a really big Vocaloid fanclub is. I've been sharing rare music with them and now I know a lot about Vocaloid music and a little bit of how indie music is made.
Now, sharing rare (or hard-to-get) Vocaloid music is tough for me because new members have been helping each other in getting those great-sounding (and robotic?) music. It's time for me to retire from sharing music and start remixing Vocaloid songs I love.
I'm between the first and the second semester of my first university year. I've retired from sharing music, I'm learning remixing and I have more free time! I'm returning to this forum to communicate with WWTBAM fans here. ^^ (It's also a good chance of practising my English!)
Regisfan, Millionairefan28, bl5965, Randydorney, FrankT and GSK etc. (Oh, and Yoshi too!), you are still great. And the site looks much more modern and smarter than before. I am happy to see that the protected Fan Games section is now secure. (I really like the idea of "user group rights".)
And I think it's odd for you here that I'm still keeping my WWTBAM PowerPoint project (even the PSDs containing the elements which I've remade too), WWTBAM music and my favorite works downloaded from this forum before I started being inactive! I haven't given the resources to anyone else.
So what do I do in this forum from now?
• It's good to see that the topic Daily Millionaire is still active. I remember that all of my questions there are "regional" (They are about Vietnam, Vietnamese people). I'd love to answer the questions there.
• Sharing some of my important backgrounds in the General Discussions forum. About my study and Vocaloid music. And I'll share what I've done in remixing music after I produce some interesting work (or after I release a remix album =)) ).
• About the Fan Games section: I like to check the works there, but waiting is not a big problem for me. There has been a new concept (a modified Time-clock format, in fact) in my head since 2011. I'll try implementing it in PowerPoint 2003 and 2010, after I finish remixing a Vocaloid song and before I choose a new song to mix.
(The new Office 2013 is web-friendly and it looks too simple; I'm afraid whether it supports macros or not.)
I'll definitely post my WWTBAM to the protected Fan Games section after it's completed and tested. (I'm still using a PC with integrated Intel GMA 3100 graphics.)
Or I'll try implementing my concept in HTML5, Flash, Java or C (They are light-weight or web-friendly).
Hello again from Hanoi, Vietnam! I'm happy to see you guys again in this forum!
A preview of my WWTBAM can be viewed here → regisfan.proboards.com/thread/895/classic-millionaire-ppt-development
(But please view it only, don't reply to it!)
By the way: In my first post, I've mentioned of a speaking lesson featuring WWTBAM. I still have the video record of it on my private Facebook profile. I'll post it here ASAP.
I've also created a public Facebook profile (page) here → www.facebook.com/S2p1d.B0i.PublicPage
It's great for me to communicate with WWTBAM fans there. Thanks!
