Paul G.: Since I won't have Internet access for 2 weeks, and you'll never know when it's your turn, so I'm gonna forfeit my role I'm afraid.

FinalAnswer19: Paul G. Are you forfeiting your role or not? If yes, we need to spend the time remaining in game one to find a replacement.

Paul G.: ...unless the 1st game might actually last longer than I'd expect.

Paul G.: (continuing) and for this time I won't have access to the Internet. So as I wrote, I am "forced" to forfeit the contestant position on RPG 34 because of that.

Paul G.: My friends, I'm sorry to say that I'll have to leave the Contestant position on RPG 34 even though I'm not in the Hot Seat yet... The reason? This Wednesday, I'll be on late (or belared) vacation for a 2-week stay...

Mech: FrankT, Plus One is basically Phone-a-Friend, except the friend is in the audience and comes down to the stage to help with the question and has no strict time limit.

Mech: Its been said from the beginning that Plus One replaces one of the jumps. At least it can be used on the $1 Million question and potentially help a dismal contestant win more money instead of forfeiting it. It has its situational Pros and Cons.

FrankT: What's it do?
Aug 30, 2014 15:42:06 GMT -5
Gagamillionaire: Well, obviously. Who'd pick Plus One if they could just skip a question?
Aug 30, 2014 8:17:37 GMT -5
Kimarough: I just saw on one of the featurettes for the new season, that the Plus One takes over one of the Jumps. You don't pick one or the other.

Well, there have been quite a bit of players that have lost on the $500,000 question in the US version. However, yeah, the last time we saw a $500,000 question loss before Chris was 2004. What I heard, Chris and the player that lost on $500,000 question recently before lost $225,000. Everyone else lost $218,000.
